So what is psychotherapy? It’s basically “talk therapy” whereby individuals use new communication tools and personal relational insights taught by a trained, preferably licensed, professional. The scope of psychotherapy then is to help persons work through their problems.

It can be somewhat difficult to bridge the gap between saying “Hello” to discussing deeper matters, for example, marriage difficulties or childhood trauma. That’s where my gifts come into play. I work to provide each client, no matter what stirred their hearts to attempt counseling, with unconditional understanding & acceptance. In this chaos called life, I strive to create a place of Sanctuary for those willing to dive into creating a new version of self, so each individual can achieve a semblance of peace.

Therapy isn’t always easy, though I will join with you in the process. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, isolation, premarital checkpoints, marital issues, divorce, parenting, or simply teenagers that are driving you up the wall, having a person who will listen, really listen, can help you feel a little less crazy.  Sanctuary Counseling may be one way to stay sane.

I believe that a holistic approach works best when applied to each counseling concern thus involving heart, mind, body & spirit. Faith can be an important asset in therapy, though it is not a requirement.  I welcome the whole self that presents itself for healing in this place of Sanctuary.

WFH! or CFH (Counseling from Home) via Telehealth platforms allow you to access your counselor from your very own home. No more fighting traffic, or worrying about where to park, or whom you might run into. Just tell us if that is part of your plan for your therapy at your sanctuary, and we'll go from there.
